Gerina Stevenson, who is the Mexican daughter of Rita Stevenson Stevenson and Alan Stevenson Stevenson, is born in Mexico. She is of Mexican-American heritage and is American in nationality. Ever since she was young she's been extremely attracted to sports. Gerina took up golf when she reached the age of 15. Gerina graduated from high school education in Goddard High School. In high school, she was the winner of her first prize at the New Mexico golf state tournament. In addition to volleyball, she competed on a state-level. The year 2003 was the time she began her studies at the University of Texas. In her senior year she was the winner of every competition she competed in. During her undergraduate career she was awarded Conference USA individual champion player of the year and UTEP Female Athlete of the Year.
