My child played around inside a playpen, while I was working 12-hour shifts, sanding the floor and removing wallpaper. Ha! The whole thing started to make sense, but was still far from being completed. To complete this task I was ready to spend a considerable amount of time and money looking for my dream house. In the end, I accumulated more items that I could decide how to use them and outgrew the space. My home became a place in which I held open houses, where up to 1,000 people could view items from my first floor and purchase these items. Growing Days is the result of this. My business was booming however my family was growing too. I was balancing the demands between what it took to start a new business while also being a mommy. Growing Days just seemed to fit. The year was 2013, and my lovely daughter Nora came along our 4th baby. Though I was content about the direction my company took, I felt like I had to take an occasional break. I decided to quit doing work on my furniture for a few months and spend time with my children. It was the right time. After a few minutes I began to hear my phone ringing. A lot of people contacted me to ask for advice about home improvement or decorating. The majority of people who contacted me were from those who came to my house at one of my furniture open house events. Then I slowly took on more clients, at my own speed. In the end, I had many clients and I was running an enterprise of renovations to homes. You would probably have amused me if you told me it would be the foundation of an DIY Network tv series. It's true that I laugh when I think about it.
